Der Bericht des deutschen Nationalisten Hans-Jörg über Prag 2000 (leider nur auf englisch... hier der AUTO-Prag-Bericht auf deutsch)
Dear fellow Europeans:
Well, here's my honest and hard critique on the events in Prague so far, in regards to the "right-wing" demo we had on
Saturday. The Demo in Prague was ok. And when I say ok, I'm leaning on saying it was embarassing. We had reporters from the New York Times, Time Magazine, The Observer (LondoN), the Sunday Telegraph
(ditto), a few from Germany (one from Berlin [name?]), and just about all of them from the Czech Republic. We were expecting about 700 "right-wingers" to show up -- BUT, for a combonation of
reasons (which I will discuss below), we had MAYBE 100 show up. It was a joke.
We had a demostration in a big park called Letna -- it was surrounded by police (normal, under-cover, and riot also/w horses), and
even a water cannon. Still, many of the people from the CZ where either too scared to go (somewhat valid....read on) or simply too lazy (this sympton is found more with the "skinhead" crews who
would rather drink than go to a demo -- you can find hundreds, if not thousands of them at a Warlord (skinhead band) concert (which the CZ had only two weeks before), but you can't get'em to do
anything REAL for their country or Europe.)Anyway....
4 Cz groups (should tell you something already -- why have 4 groups?) took their turn speaking, and then it was over. My dear friend
was one of the speakers, BUT regardless of this fact, it was poorly organized and a standing discrace. Why? Let me start...
After the rally, the "nazis" (that's us) were supposed to have police protection -- well, we did AT the demo, but they
also promised to protect us all the way to the main rail-way station. Normally, skinheads are ALWAYS smashing reds/anarchist -- BUT, when you decide to do things legally and depend on the law -- this
puts you at a dis-advantage (I'm not saying you should break the law.... but....) because they don't. Anyhow -- since the leaders practiced poor leadership, many "skinheads" (Of which I am
not) broke into smaller groups: big mistake. When they got to the main rail station, about 1000 anarchist where near by -- about 50 "anti-fa" decided to attack about 5 skinheads who ranged
somewhere between 15-17 years old. The skinheads got smashed pretty good (not so bad -- they walked away, as anarchist simply don't know how to fight!). The police did absolutly NOTHING -- and said
later that they didn't have the resources -- something must be noted here:
1. the police said they would protect us as the main rail station, but they didn't...
2. the police KNEW the "skinheads" were going there, and HAD to have seen 1000 anarchist marching in the same direction, yet
NO warning was given to ANYBODY (I will say that I did see one under-cover police man who was dressed like a skinhead tell the other skinheads (about 20) to get out of there -- he seemed to be the only
sincere one that day), nor where the reds stopped...
3. I think this was a set-up. Because a. it justifieds the large ammounts of money they're spending, b. deflects judgement that
the police "protect" Nazis (can you belive that, the police protect people's right to free speech -- disguisting!), c. it helps past new laws (nothing yet, but I bet it's coming!)
What was SAD is that:
1. The anarchist were MORE in number (usually normal), but...
2. Their number was only bigger because they are international -- hell, may as well say it, they're MORE pan-European than
so-called racialist! It was sad (but almost a peverse delight) to see Spanish, Italian, German, Czech, and French anarchist working together, while the so-called "racialist" or
"nationlist" quibble about petty little ethnic differences. Could you imagine if we had another 100 brits, 100 germans, 100 hungarians, 100 italians, etc... there? We could have annhilated 1/3
of the anarchist population in Europe! :) But no, "nationalist" want to remain jingoist -- dabble in petty politics, etc... it's sickening. The organizers of the CZ fiasco should have
invited other there -- BUT, those others (including many of your readers) should have simply thought before hand about coming! Well, I'm sure I'll hear it from some of you -- BUT, this was my
honest and sincere critique. In the future, if Europe is escape from the Abyss, inter-nation "resource management" will be a top priority! Regards from Prague, where all hell is suppose to break
loose tomorrow!
Hans-Jörg
P.S. I did an interview with The Observer (London), The New York Times, Time Magazine -- if you hear or see anything about
"skinheads" in the paper, let me know.
